A Dallas school is warning parents about a possible attempted abduction at a nearby restaurant.
According to a letter from St. Monica Catholic School, a mother said a man approached her 10-year-old son Tuesday afternoon outside La Madeline French Bakery & Cafe at Northwest Highway and Midway Road, about a mile from the school.
She and her son had been sitting together, and the man in a gray Toyota Corolla pulled up and repeatedly tried to lure him into the car when she went inside for a brief moment.
The boy ran inside to tell his mother what happened.
By the time they went back outside, the man was gone.
The boy couldn't remember many details but said the man had white hair and his Corolla had a spoiler on the back.
St. Monica on Wednesday sent a letter home to parents about the incident.
