TxDOT Crews Watch for Refreezing Overnight

Texas Department of Transportation crews will be watching North Texas roads for possible refreezing of wet roads as temperatures plummet overnight.

Prosper Snow Snowballs Into Fort Building

Students in Prosper got a snow day Tuesday and some students used the day to build a snow fort.

Temperatures rose above freezing Tuesday afternoon, but as temperatures drop overnight, any residual slush could refreeze on roads, especially northeast of Dallas, where the snow was heavier.  Temperatures will warm significantly by the end of the week, but it will turn colder again on Monday.

TONIGHT:  Decreasing clouds, and cold again. Low: 27. Wind: NW 5-10 mph.

WEDNESDAY:  Partly cloudy and cool.  High: 50.  Wind: W 5-10 mph. 

THURSDAY:  Mostly sunny and a little warmer.  Low: 34.  High: 55.  Wind: W 10 mph. 

FRIDAY:  Sunny and mild.  Low: 34.  High: 59.  Wind: S  5-10 mph. 

SATURDAY:  Sunny and mild.  Low: 36.  High: 62.  Wind:  SE 5-10 mph.

SUNDAY:  Mostly sunny and mild.  Low 39.  High 60.  Wind:  S 10 mph.

MONDAY, MLK DAY:  Mostly sunny, but breezy and colder.  Low 33.  High 46. 

TUESDAY:  Sunny and cold.  Low 27.  High 47.  Wind:  NE 10 mph.
